My name is Miriam Smith. I do not have fibromyalgia, but I started this website to help several friends who do have it.

I have been concerned about fibromyalgia for several years. First, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with fibromyalgia several years ago. And recently my sister has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia as well.

But fibromyalgia is real and although there are "mental" elements to this disease, including depression, anxiety and "fibro fog," it is not a mental illness!
